Frequently Asked ?s

Do you take reservations?

We are a first-come-first-serve beach.  We have a ton of space (40,000 square feet to be exact) and will be able to find you a place to perch and enjoy yourself.

How about for private parties?

We offer a few options for private and semi-private events depending on the size of your party and what day of the week you are hoping to coming in. Please feel free to send questions to askus@sandlotbaltimore.com. If you are ready to book your event, please click here.

Is there a cover to get in?

Most evenings we do not charge a cover to come in and enjoy the beach, however there are some exceptions. We will post on our social media if we are requiring a cover for entry or closed for a private event.

I don't drink, will I still have fun?

Heck yeah! This year we have a much broader selection of non-alcoholic beverages to appease kids and adult teetotalers alike.

I have dietary restrictions...

We take allergies and other dietary restrictions very seriously.  Please notify our staff and we will accommodate to the best of our abilities, depending on what is behind the bar and in the kitchen.

Can I bring my kids?

Of course! We actually encourage people to bring their kiddos because Sandlot was originally made with our owner's 4 kids in mind.  We have kiddy sand boxes, toys, a kid-friendly menu, and plenty of non-soda beverages available for the little ones in our life.

Cool, you're kid-friendly, but what about dogs?

Again, we encourage people to bring their dogs - we love them! We ask that you keep your dog on a leash at all times and please keep them off the main deck. Also, don't worry about your dog digging around in the sand - it's sand, it's easy to move back into place.

Why don't you accept vertical IDs?

We card and serve responsibly and a large part of that is ensuring that every guest who is enjoying an adult beverage is 21 or older. Each state has different procedures when exchanging vertical IDs for the horizontal format, and because some states do not clip corners, punch, or claim vertical IDs during the exchange, the vertical ID can be passed along to someone else who is underaged.

If you only have a vertical ID, you are welcome to use a valid passport or military ID as form of identification. We do not accept any other forms of ID, so please plan ahead.

If the weather is iffy, how do I find out if you're open?

Follow us on Instagram as that is our primary means of communicating any weather-related closures.
